Order the larger size. In Care bras are true to size, but if your underbust measurement falls between two bands, size up - a slightly loose band can be tightened at the hooks, a tight band can't be fixed. Use the Size Guide and Fit Finder on this page before you order. Available range: 30B-46E.
Your band does about 80% of the support, so it should sit level and horizontal across your back - not riding up. You should fit two fingers under the band comfortably. Straps shouldn't dig in, cups shouldn't gape at the top or spill at the sides.
The loosest hook. Elastic relaxes with wear, so starting on the loosest setting lets you tighten to the middle and then the tightest hook over the bra's life - that's months of extra usable fit from the same bra.
Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, close the hooks first so they don't snag, and never wring or machine-dry. Squeeze gently, reshape the cups, and dry flat in shade - direct sun and heat are what kill elastic.
For most people, yes - it's lighter, more breathable in Indian weather, and shapes naturally rather than adding volume. It's the reason non-padded cotton styles dominate daily wear here. Padded is the better pick when you need a smooth line under fitted or thin clothing.
For a saree blouse, choose a non-padded style with and coverage that stays inside the blouse line. For a fitted kurti, a seamless non-padded cup avoids visible seams. Match the bra to your skin tone, not to the outfit - nude disappears under everything.
Wire-free styles rely on band and seam construction for lift and are more comfortable for long wear; wired styles give more defined separation and lift. Neither is unhealthy - an underwire only hurts when the cup size is wrong and the wire sits on breast tissue instead of the ribcage.
